I also remembe...I remember the film with fondness.<br /><br />I also remember, with less fondness and more a sort of bemused fascination, the official tie-in novelization, which was written by a fan of the old pulp novels and radio series who made a point of shoehorning back in all the complicated backstory stuff that built up over the decades and which the makers of the film had carefully pruned away to avoid confusing the audience. There were one or two "Oh, that's a nice shout-out that wasn't in the movie" moments, but for the most part it just proved that the filmmakers had made the right call.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
