It could easily have been so much worse.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883899214355622864.post-80404988195853072152012-11-26T10:38:32.229+11:002012-11-26T10:38:32.229+11:00I agree with all of this, and reckon the direction...I agree with all of this, and reckon the direction is pretty fine too. The writing seems full of great ideas that just aren't fully realised (like the Chang Lee character, who seems to be there to redeem himself, but never actually does).David Chttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00408351054120961467noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883899214355622864.post-9532465865604171792012-11-26T09:41:10.968+11:002012-11-26T09:41:10.968+11:00I agree to everything except the Eric Roberts part...I agree to everything except the Eric Roberts part :D

It is very sad that Big Finish have never been able to get the rights to the TV Movie characters, as I would have quite liked to see Grace given more of a chance to develop as a character - like Donna, she turned him down the first time, but maybe she wouldn't next time he came back? She is in many ways the first of the New Who companions, and you can see touches of her character in the creation of Rose, Martha and Donna.

I do love the Big Finish work and I suspect Paul McGann would never have got nearly as well written adventures for his Doctor if this one had gone to series. But I do enjoy watching the TV Movie even if it's mostly for him, and my eyes almost roll out of my head with half the production decisions. But then, that's part of being a Doctor Who fan anyway, right?TansyRRhttp://tansyrr.comnoreply@blogger.com
