We've had the 4th Doctor/Adric combo for a few stories, the 1st Doctor and Steven for a short while, the 2nd Doctor and Jamie, and the 5th Doctor/Turlough. All of these have only been for a story or two admittedly, but it might be an interesting experiment to have a longer run with two male leads on Doctor Who.

Courtney Woods: no, please, no. I hated that character. She was annoying with no redeeming qualities. I wouldn't say no to a return by Donna, and Emma Grayling is an interesting possibility.JTnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883899214355622864.post-82869226962278690422015-12-03T22:52:26.184+11:002015-12-03T22:52:26.184+11:00You simply can't have a single companion and h...You simply can't have a single companion and have him be male - without recasting the Doctor as a woman it's the only way to put a woman into the series on a regular basis.Granthttps://www.blogger.com/profile/05277173223422519172noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883899214355622864.post-62627737648403290322015-12-03T22:40:20.552+11:002015-12-03T22:40:20.552+11:00I noticed you only listed female potentials, have ...I noticed you only listed female potentials, have there been no male characters that could be brought back as a companion?Ryougahttps://www.blogger.com/profile/03327002955463300422noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5883899214355622864.post-30612676189397955022015-12-03T20:10:15.635+11:002015-12-03T20:10:15.635+11:00Yes, I was convinced that was going to be the big ...Yes, I was convinced that was going to be the big reversal/twist at the end of the last season: the Doctor is a young woman and her assistant is an old man.
