All that big talk about the New Dalek Paradigm and they essentially do nothing.<br /><br />You don't make major changes to iconic characters/monsters without a scheme to show why the new version is superior. If it had been planned out properly, there should have been a follow-up kick arse Dalek story later in the season featuring them winning resoundingly.
