Handheld camera work, machine guns instead of laser beams, and one particularly odd moment of Richard III-style direct address. I'm so glad they asked Robert Holmes back to write it, otherwise his last Doctor Who story would have been "The Power of Kroll" instead of... oh yeah, instead of episode 1 of "The Ultimate Foe". I stuck around for some of the Colin Baker stories, but sporadically, rather than obsessively, as had been the case during Tom Baker's run. I never saw McCoy's run at all, first time out, and have only seen it in reruns and DVDs as an adult.
